The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.

We have an app trying to connect to Saleforce using web service and it stopped workig last night.  The error message we are getting is:

The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.

Any ideas for troubleshooting and how to resolve this?

i got exactly the same issue !  since the 13/08/2015.
any news on this issue ?

Hi Salesforce did some updates and here is the documentation on what stopped working on 13/08/2015 and what you need to do to get it fixed.
