I need help with a formula where the number of units entered is displayed in a different field in text. For example Units (1) will display (one) and so on up to 100.

there is two options use CASE in formula field or some trigger which will be auto populate this text field

I will be prefer use trigger, because if I am correct the formula field cover only 3000 characters. If you are okay with this use formula field.
If you will rise this limit use trigger and normal text field. For the users set this field only for reading
