Permissions for Lightning Admins?

I would to know why we cannot edit any of the settings in the new Salesforce Lightning view. I have full admin access rights on my profile and am able to edit page layouts and list views normally, but when I try to access the Salesforce Lightning view I no longer have access. If anyone could possibly point me in the right direction to enabling this it would be very helpful. I cannot see anything in my permissions which could be missing.
