How to send out email alerts when the "Results" field in Service Profiles when anything is added or changed?

On salesforce there are various accounts that have a results field. I would like to send a notification to those people followingthe specific account whenever anything changes in the results field. Please assist and advise if possible.

If by "people following the specific account" you mean people following that record in chatter, the easiest thing you can do is activate history tracking for that field. This way, everytime this field changes, there will be a message added to the chatter section of that record and everyone following the record will be notified (as long as they have not deactivated notifications, of course).
