Access to Trailhead Account from past employer email address

I recently switched employers and have no access to recover a password to my Trailhead account since it's being sent to my old employer's email address. I have attempted to reach out to my past employer to see if they can forward emails, but haven't heard anything back. I'd like to keep my progress and badges instead of having to start over, but I can't find a way to do that. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Laurel,

Unfortunately, there is no way to transfer your Trailhead progress to another account (yet). SF is working to make this possible (safe harbor of course). 

In the meantime you can do the following, its somewhat of a workaround:

You log in to Trailhead with your *new* account, then go to a challenge you've already completed, and click this key icon.

Then logout of your DE. Then log back in with the DE where you already completed the challenge, and click Check Challenge again. It will check against the org where you already did the work. No way to do this with quizzes.
