Trailhead Unable to check challenge Customizing compact layouts

Challenge Not yet complete... here's what's wrong: 
There was an unexpected error while verifying this challenge. Usually this is due to some pre-existing configuration or code in the challenge Org. I tried that with no success

I am still unable to get this challenge checked.   I have tried a new developer forum but the same response is still provided. 

If you select Launch Developer Edition button it still launches my original dev environment. 

I also tried deleting everything and starting again.

There were 2 record types,  had to remove one
