Im planning to write SalesForce Developer certification. In the trailhead site, there are two links : Trails and Modules.
Which one i need to choose & study to attempt SalesForce developer Level1 certification?.

Trails are the best option from the Trailhead site because they're already structured. In fact, trails are themed grouped modules. If you already know the platform, I recommend you to take Developer Beginner first; it gives you the salesforce development basics.
However, you should check Level 1 certification content topics because there's a lot of information across the Internet that can be very helpful to achieve your certification; trails, by themselves, won't be sufficient .
The trailhead is an excellent resource to help you prepare for certifications. There are exercises for setting up profiles, data models, validation rules and workflow, all which you need to know when preparing for the Administrator or Dev 401 / Programmer 1 exams. Trailhead as one of the tools for preparing for your certification exam, but also use it in addition to the study guide and other supplemental resources.
