Import Account causing extraneous notes to be created.

csv file:

Account Name,Account Status,Account Type,Segment Affiliation,Account Vertical
ABC Bargetto Winery,Pre-Contact,Owner,Owner-User,Mixed-Use


Segment Affiliation is a custom field picklist  on account.  When I import this data extraneous notes are added to account.

Hi,

Is there any trigger on the Account object which is creating the Notes records?

Please check it once.

We do have some triggers, but they all seem to be managed triggers.

Also if I create an account manually this does not happen, just when I use the import function.

Hi Wendy,

I am not able to give you exact answer why it is creating those records but I would recommend an option to troubleshoot the issue.

As you said when you are creating it manually it is not happening, can you give exactly the same values which you have in your input CSV file and see the results. If it creates the Notes records then we can see which field value is causing it to create.
