Force Lite - Latency and roadmap

I do not see Force Lite on salesforce's website anymore? Is it discontinued? Also is there a higher latency for Force Lite than force enterprise? We are using a warehouse application, where barcodes are scanned for receiving and barcodes scanned out for shipping. We are using force lite license and definitley see some latency. I am curious if it is an issue with Force Lite.

Yeah, it looks like that license has been discontinued - this happens quite a bit, especially on the force.com side of things. There won't be any additional latency - the license is restricted in terms of app and object access, it will peform at the same speed as every other license.

Do you have any callouts in your app? That's usually where I see latency.
