Flow designer: Error #1009

I can't save a flow I'm working on. I get an error and when I check the logs all it gives me is "Error #1009". Has anyone encountered this?

Unfortunately, there's no way of us knowing what is causing your error.  You'll likely have to open a ticket with support and reference the error code.  If they usher you back to the developer boards, let them know that Salesforce needs to look the code up on their own side.  

If you want to try to solve it in the mean time, it's likely advantageous to start from scratch, and then intermittently save your progress in baby steps.  This way, if you encounter the error, you can narrow down the cause.
