open execute anonymous window disabled

Hi

open execute anonymous window is disabled in developer console. Due to this I'm unable to write and execute any apex code.
Please let me know how I can enable it.

Make sure you have Author Apex permission on profile

I cann't find profile in Quick find box. Hence unable to check this.

Go to Setup->Manage Users->Profiles-> Select the profile

I cann't find Profiles under Manage users. Only below options are available.

Adoption Manager
Mass Email Users
Roles
Permission Sets
Public Groups
Queues
Login History
Identity Verification HistoryNew

What is your Salesforce Edition?

Profile option is available in Enterprise, Unlimited, Developer, and Database.com Editions .

Its showing professional edition.
Any idea how I can change it to developer edition?

I realize this is an old thread, but thought I would answer this in case anyone else ran into the same problem.

Professional Edition does not allow the use of Apex (authoring or running) for any users of the org. If you want to write custom code, you will need to purchase a higher edition.
