Show Custom Object in Navigation Menu in the Lightning Experience?

I am exploring the Lightning experience, and I'm wondering how to display one of our custom objects in the navigation menu on the left? We are currently using a custom object instead of Opportunities, so we will need easier access to it instead of opening it through the App Launcher Icon.

Is there a way to do this?

You can able to customize the Navigation menu and assiged to the user profile.
From the setup menu type 'Navigation Menu' and select the tab which you want to include in the navigation menu and assign the menu option to the user profile.
