The organization-wide default for the Project custom object was not configured correctly. I am stuck here anyone can you please help me..please share scrren shot for better understanding

If you go to Setup --> Security Controls --> Sharing Settings

Please check OWD or your Project object with below step :-
Setup --> Security Controls --> Sharing Settings

I had the same issue until I pressed "Enable External Sharing Model". It then worked straight away & the button changes to "Disable External Sharing Model":
