replace page with visualforce

Can I replace a custom object record "detail" page with my custom page? I created the VF page already

go the setup>objects>Click the Object name> under Buttons, Links, and Actions 

Edit the "View" then You will get the override properties. 
Change to the page you created or Use No Override which is default salesforce view.
