Do gs0 Instances still support SSL, since Nov 28th 2015 we see in our logs Salesforce2 Error: Could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS with authority 'gs0.salesforce.com'

What version of SSL are you using to try to connect?  Some of the protocol versions and shared methods have been disabled over time.

As a note, Salesforce is disabling TLS 1.0 soon [1]
