Hello Sandeep,

Compact layouts are used in Salesforce1 to display a record's key fields at a glance. Compact layouts are designed for viewing records on touchscreen mobile devices, where space is limited and quick recognition of records is important.

Please check the below links for examples:
https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.salesforce1.meta/salesforce1/compact_layouts_task.htm
https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.fundamentals.meta/fundamentals/adg_simple_app_compact_layout.htm

Hello Sandeep,

Actually it is a continuation for the warehouse app which is demonstrated in the above steps of the provided link. You can select any of your app, and can create compact layouts (add the fields that you require in the Salesforce1 UI) for a particular Sobject.
Let me know if any help needed!

Regards,
Deepthi

Hi Sandeep Reddy,

Compact layouts are designed for viewing records on touchscreen mobile devices, where space is limited and quick recognition of records is important.
compact layouts determine which fields appear in the Chatter feed item that appears after a user creates a record with a publisher action.
  • An object’s record highlights area
  • An object’s record preview cards (but not those shown in search results)
  • Enhanced lookup cards on a record’s related information page
If you don’t create custom compact layouts, records display using a read-only, predefined system default compact layout. Once you create custom compact layouts, you can set one as the primary compact layout for the object. If you have record types associated with an object, you can override the primary compact layout assignment and assign specific compact layouts to different record types.
Compact layouts support all field types except:
text area
long text area
rich text area
multi-select picklist

You can clone a compact layout from its detail page.

For more details please check the below link

I hope it will help you.
