Unsupported attribute label in <apex:inputText> why?

Does anyone know why this error occured? 
For me it does make any sense?

Close the existing file and Open a new instance of your Dev Console and try to use the same Tags.

This was long ago, but someone else may have the question.  Your page file must be at API Version 23.0 or higher.
