They are useful for expanding your Salesforce knowledge. I would personally be weary of any employer that said you had to have X number of Trailhead badges. I would look at Trailhead as something for personal development rather than for getting a job.
I have to agree with pcon. The knowledge gained by completing Trailhead badges is certainly useful in getting a job, and any employer who is aware of Trailhead is probably actively engaged in the Salesforce ecosystem (good sign). But as a job requirement, I'm not sure it's something that people would be looking for.
That will help you alot to learn salesforce . Yes After completing module you will get Badges ( in tearm of salesforce knowlage) and that will help you to clear your interview..
The badges are useful in holding yourself accountable for gaining Salesforce knowledge. What will serve you better in getting a job is to have the Salesforce Certifications. Earning the badges helps you to study for the certification exams.
