Visibility of records to a records,| uncertain reasons

Hello,

I have a custom object which is private and it has 3 lookups.
There are 200 records for this object in total but a user can see 100 records.

I have checked sharing criterias but the user is not part of this group, so i was thinking may it is related to lookup records.

thank you for suggestion !

A user gets access to a record of a custom object marked 'PRIVATE' through the following ways, probably your user falls into one of these? Can you specify what the problem is? Is the user having access to records he/she is not supposed to have or is it vice versa?
  • Manual Sharing
  • Sharing rule
  • User is above the owner of the record in the role hierarchy

Sandrine,

Lookups never drive the visibility in custom objects. Can you check if those records were manually shared with that user, or a group or if there is any apex share on that object? These are only three possibilities in your scenario.

Can you take a moment to  upvote and mark this answer as solved, if it helped you.
Cheers!

I am sure there is no manual sharing.
The user is not part of any group.*
I do not know how to check apes share,
