its system admin job to take the back of field data. EX: we are sending mail to business user that we are going to delete that custom field. There is delay in getting a response from business user ( more the 15days or 1 month) .Even though admin will take a back of field data and we can gohead with deletion. It's admin job. We can't ask him to why and what. If there is any data lost we have rights to ask system admin.

i have some more points to make ANS-B stronger
Option D-- if you delete the custom field which added already in the page layout, that spacific custom field automatically removed from Page layout after delete the field. no need to remove manually. So option D is not in the list.
coming to Option A- if you restore your field old field values in to new field, that is not a best approach. if you forget to delete the old field and value later on its duplication and waste of memory.
So Option B is in the list.

In the below question, wouldn't one of the answer be : Change OWD on Account to Private(Because in question it says Accounts are Public read only, switching to Private will limit the visibility of Accounts to users)
UC has set the owd to public read-only for accounts. a new sales team has been created that will be dealing with high security customers. The system administrator has been asked to hide these accounts from anyone NOT on this team

Reason:
For first ANS:
Whiel Creating sharing rule you have option to restrict to create owner based sharing rules for spacific role memebrs.
For Second Ans:
if you create role hierachy out of ORG hierachy, record has been restricted to view from others. aprat from the role members.

Could you please provide a brief answer on why the answer "change owd on account to private " is not correct . since it was mentioned that OWD is public read only then I believe making OWD to private on account would also be right answer. Need your view on this please.
Because in question it says Accounts are Public read only, switching to Private will limit the visibility of Accounts to users, and new sales team users as well. they question says group of uses( new sales Team) dealing with this highly high security customers. thats the reason.
