Creating FAQs

Hi,
I am new to Salesforce and it would be great, if community can give me some idea to create FAQs. Do I have to treat FAQ as knowledge article and proceed to create custom object for the same?

You can use standard Article object and then have different type of articles that are treated as custom object so like FAQ__c. Yes then they fetched by api to be consumed by mobile or any other system.
Alternately you could install those app and they provide most of functionality also they are mobile browser ready but if want to build dedicated app then need to build app by accessing object throw that api.

Thanks!

Hi Sourav,
Yes. You should treat knowledge articles as FAQ. Their are very cool free and unmanaged packages that you could use for this purpose. Here are links.

Hi Shailendra,
Thanks for your quick help. Can you please confirm, I have to create a custom object for the FAQs. And we can put a bunch of FAQs to get fetched through the https://ap2.salesforce.com/services/data/v36.0/sobjects API, when asked by the mobile application client.
