Ad an existing contact to an account without duplicating

Is it difficult to add a new button in the Contacts tab of an account? I would need step-by-step instructions if it's out there somewhere. My nonprofit can't afford an implementation partner, so I am trying to figure it out myself... Thanks!

Here is a screenshot. I would like to add a button there "Ad existing contact" that you can click on and it will open a window with a lookup symbol where you can look up a contact in Salesforce and simply add that person. That way a person can be affiliated to several accounts (e.g. to a foundation and a company and a nonprofit at the same time - some people wear many hats). Does that make sense? Thanks you, Leticia
