Hi Folks. I'm not sure if this is Salesforce limitation. What I'm trying to do is have a "Create Follow-Up Task" button on the Event page in lightning view. I do see it in the Classic, but don't know how to put in on the lightning page. Also I see the button on the Task page in lightning. Appreciate any help.

is there a way to authenticate an application for using the salesforce rest api with just the normal username / password credentials from

the basic http authentication?

I know thats not safe but its just for testing the functionality of my application.
