As a user in the community, when choosing another list view (other than the default), Salesforce is firing an event which I believe is listIdChange.  I am trying to listen to this event so that I can then grab the new URL for a custom breadcrumb component.  No matter what I do, I can't catch the event.  I have tried the head of the page, within my component, etc.  I have also tried listening to the pop state and push state (because SF is changing the URL without reloading).  I have tried an interval and a timeout, etc.  Anyone ever work with the list view event and have any ideas?
trigger ExampleTrigger on Contact (after insert, after delete) {
    if (Trigger.isInsert) {
        Integer recordCount = Trigger.New.size();
        // Call a utility method from another class
        EmailManager.sendMail('Your email address', 'Trailhead Trigger Tutorial',
                    recordCount + ' contact(s) were inserted.');
    }
    else if (Trigger.isDelete) {
        // Process after delete
    }
}
