Hi, Is there any reason why we cannot see some of the standard fields from Account while creating  a report. For e.g. we cannot see account number, account site etc., from standard account report types. We tried to create a custom report type that shows all fields for accounts & contacts, yet not able to see them. have SA permissions. Is there any thing that will prevent them from being reported on? Appreciate if anyone has any thoughts on how to get around?

In our organization, we have sales reps report to Managers --> Executives --> CEO.  Reps are grouped by NE, MW Markets. We need to enable NE users to see/work on some of opportunities  that belong to MW. Similarly some of MW Reps would need to see some opportunities owned by NE. How could we set up the roles. I beleive it can be done via sharing rules.

Is it possible to prevent some users from downloading report data?

Is it possible to hide/enable some portion of dashboard to a specific user group?

Appreciate your feedback

what is the best way to look at the existing roles set up in SFDC? I am plannig to get a matrix of who have access to what? Is there anything available from salesforce.com?

Thank you.

1) Is it posible to restrict user to a specific record type - I have Account record type called "Margue Account" and I want to give access to few users. All other users, should not be able to read accounts of this record type?

2) Restrict user from downloading data – is it done via role or user profile?

3) Dashboard – can we hide/enable some portion of dashboard to some  users.

4) MS outlook add-in - Can this be installed at Exchange server?

Thanks for your help.
