There is another post on Live Agent that includes a video where the narrarator makes an offhand comment about the notification sound not working.  I am seeing this as well- with the sound playing on inititiation of only two or three of 20+ test chats over the course of more than a week.  Without being able to rely on this, there is no way we can have any confidence in our responsiveness to our clients.

 

Not sure if it's poor form to piggyback an issue (as oppoosed to a new topic), but chat transcripts are spotty as well.  A few test chats from 5:15 yesterday had not appeared in the transcript tab by 6:30.  One was there this morning; others haven't materialized.

I need to write a script to check chat availability.  Is there any documentation to the API that can assist with this?  For our previous system, it was simple to just check the image displayed on the website.  Unfortunately with Live Agent, I can not do the same.
