We have a requirement at that I believe can be met by deploying Role Hierarchy (RH) for the Service Cloud Users. They want to case reports grouped by State, City, Hospital, and then Agent. To me its a no brainer to set up RH and then let Salesforce Reports do the rest.

However, I am getting push back from the client architect stating that no enterprise organization should use RH as it is bad for performance. But he can't elaborate on why he believes this. I have my Sharing and Visibility cert, but I have not heard of this or experienced it first hand.

Does anyone have experience with this supposed issue?

It appears that creating Validation Rules on the Knowledge object works differently than other objects, but I can't find any documentation.  For example, I am trying to ensure the Content field is populated and the rule I wrote did catch the empty field.

We have a project where we effectively need a third button for 'All Agents Busy'.  However, we only have 'Online Image' and 'Offline Image'.  I have reviewed the 'Chat Queuing Options' at https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=live_agent_chat_queuing_options.htm.  The client wants:
Per Agent Limit: 2
Overall Queue Limit: 10
NEVER show Offline button if any Agents are online. What they really want is a 'All Agents Busy' type button, but will settle for an auto greeting informing visitors the Queue is full and to try back later.
- It does not appear that the number of Chats waiting in a Queue are exposed via the API.  Is this true?
- I am NOT a developer, but what about this idea from the client's web developer?  Can we leave the queue unlimited, but manually check the queue level and anyone over our determined limit we pop a message to them via JavaScript pop-up?  Then cancel their session in the queue, requiring them to try the chat again?

How can we accomplish this?
 

Can someone confirm for me that Chatter FeedItem records do not consume Data Storage?  Is there explicit documentation I can refer to?

I was granted from Partner ISV support a total of 10 Salesforce licenses that was added to our TSO.  We want to create about 100 demo records owned by multiple users so that a trial user can see an accurate representation of our app.  However, when a prospect signs up for our trial from the AppExchange, will it use one of the 10 licenses?

Any additional best practices is appreciated!
