I am trying to create a popup notification that is show after every new lead and for this i create a workflow rule and a task , task is created in the related list of the lead but pop up is not sheen and i also enable the pop up block in the browser,, so please help me regarding the problem.

I just set up web-to-lead capture and can not seem to find any information about having a pop-up notification (like pop-up reminder alerts) for new leads that come into my system from my website web-to-lead form.

I do not have enterprise edition (I have group Edition), so no workflow capabilities. I originally asked this question in the basic salesforce community, and someone recommended me to post this question to the developers.

 

I am looking for a way to have a screen pop-up alert when a new lead comes into my system via web-to-lead. I was told that I will need some custom coding most likely.

 

Also, another question...

 

On my web-to-lead form, I have tried using various methods to show a form submission date, but nothing I try works. I created a field called "Submittal Date" and tried setting the default value in that field to "Today ()" but for some reason when a web-to-lead comes in, that field does not populate. I have tried creating a hidden field on my web-to-lead form with "Today ()" as well, but still no such luck. It appears the web-to-lead form only will import text and will not bring in things relating to dates etc.

 

Sorry for the long post. I'm sort of a newbie. Any help on this matter would be appreciated.
