APEX Error: AccountTrigger caused an unexpected exception, contact your admin: AccountTrigger: execution of AfterUpdate caused by: System.NullPointerException: Attempt to de-reference a null object: ()

Here is the code: 

trigger AccountTrigger on Account (after update) {
    if(Trigger.IsUpdate && Trigger.IsAfter) {
        AccountTriggerHandler.handleAfterUpdate(Trigger.newMap, Trigger.oldMap);

How can I attach an image from the documents tab on a visualforce email template?

I have tried using this format: 

<apex:image id="Logo" value "url image link" /> 

But its not displaying the logo, just the link.
