Any help with this solution is greatly appreciated!

Advertising company needs to report the Qtrly revenue amount, for ads running. More specifically: $Amount for deals with Prob > 50%, where the ad run date(s) encompasses X Qtr.

Here are the fields I have and an example:

  • Amount $12,000.00 [standard field]
  • Start Date 8/15/2011 [custom field created]
  • End Date 10/20/2011 [custom field created]
  • Number of run days: 67 [custom field: End_Date__c - Start_Date__c +1]
  • daily rate: 179.10 [custom field: Amount / Number_of_Run_days__c]

Desired results for reporting:

Total Days

Total Amount

Q3

47

$8,417.91

Q4

20

$3,582.09

Ref details for this example:

17 days (8/15/2011 -8/31/2011) 17*179.10= 3,044.78

30 days (9/1/2011-9/30/2011) 30*179.10= 5,373.13

20 days (10/1/2011-10/20/2011) 20*179.10= 3,582.09

Thank you for your time!

Greetings All,

Long time user, first time post. Looking for some help with customization of revenue schedule formulas… The default divides the $ by # of months. I need the actual monthly amount - even if there's only 1 day remaining in the month an ad starts.

Scenario: Advertising Sales co. – Opptys/products to display the amount of revenue, by month, for the Ad term. In other words: actual “ad run” $ amount, per month. Also, the number of days/months an ad will run vary. Can be 1-day to 26-months...

Here is a simple example:

  • Amount Closed $12,000.00
  • Ad start date 8/15/2010
  • Ad end date 10/20/2010
  • Total of 65 days @ 184.62 per day

# of days the ad will run in each month is:

• 16 days, first month (8/15/2010 -8/31/2010). 16*184.62= What I need displayed is: 2,953.85 August.

• 30 days, second month (9/1/2010-9/30/2010)30*184.62= "    "  5,538.46 September.

• 19 days, third month (10/1/2010-10/20/2010). 19*184.62= "    " 3,507.78 October.

ANY help is greatly appreciated! I’ve spent countless hours on the discussion boards and developer pages looking for this solution... no luck (found similar postings; not resolved).

Thank you!

Karen

In my .net application I'm trying to attach a campaign to a new lead using the API. Creating new lead works fine when I'm not trying to pass a campaign to it. I'm trying to locate the campaign by id, load t into a campaign object, pass that campaign object to the lead and create lead. I do locate the campaign using the query but I may be missing a step. I get error: "Invalid foreign key relationship name Campaign".

Please help.
