While modifying a standard report, Activities with Contacts, I realized that it used the object relationship which is an inner join and some records wouldn't display because there was an account record, but no contact record. (Each "A" record must have at least one related "B" record. Only parent records with child records are shown in the report.)

If possible,  I would like to modify this report so it will show the account even if contact is not found.

An alternative was attempted. I tried to create a new customer report type for Activities and it provided the account, but I also want the contact. I am unable to pull in the contact record.

Is it possible to create a true custom report using any tables with user specified joins? (not those defined by salesforce?)

Thank you,

Bela

The Salesforce for Outlook installation instruction were followed and the sync says 'Sync complete' but there are errors that I don't understand.

1) In Last Sync error: Sync Failed; Unable to communicate with Outlook. Restart Outlook and try again.

I have tried to start Outlook again and has made no difference.

2) Sync: View Sync Log:

2012-09-26 11:09:00,627 INFO  [Contact]SyncEngine status changed to Errored
2012-09-26 11:09:00,627 ERROR [Contact] ***********  Sync Engine  ***********  Error Sfdc.Outlook.OLSessionException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This is standard procedure for syncing. No customization.

Microsoft Outlook is 2007.

Windows is Windows 7.

Can anyone provide basic understanding?

Thanks,

Is it possible to to view Multi-User Calendar Weekly with the event description instead of the red or blue bars indicating 'out of office' or 'busy'?

The purpose is to have the same type of view, but with the event on the line instead of colored bars that require placing mouse over bar to identify event.

Is there an alternative that would provide this type of summary so all users are listed with events. If possible, to have one user per row and multiple events on same row separated by commas.

Thank you,
