Who we are.

KIPP is a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools with a track record of preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life. There are currently 109 KIPP schools in 20 states and the District of Columbia serving over 32,000 students.

What we do.

KIPP builds a partnership among parents, students, and teachers that puts learning first. By providing outstanding educators, more time in school learning, and a strong culture of achievement, KIPP is helping all students climb the mountain to and through college.

Why it matters.

Every day, KIPP students across the nation are proving that demographics do not define destiny. Over 85 percent of our students are from low-income families and eligible for the federal free or reduced-price meals program, and 95 percent are African American or Latino. Nationally, more than 95 percent of KIPP middle school students have gone on to college-preparatory high schools, and more than 85 percent of KIPP alumni have gone on to college.

The Application Development team at KIPP is responsible for development and support of custom-built applications, as well as integration of products/solutions developed by external vendors.  The Salesforce Application Developer role requires an individual that is comfortable working with multiple technologies, but who is simultaneously willing to serve as the subject matter expert on salesforce.com.

KIPP Foundation recently engaged a vendor to develop a national recruitment platform for our organization as well as our network of schools and regions.  The Salesforce Application Developer will be the technical lead in this effort, working closely with the vendor development team and taking ownership of specific tasks during the initial build and deployment.  In addition, this individual will support the College Completion Team on the national alumni database developed on salesforce.com.

The Salesforce Application Developer will work closely with the rest of the IT team, as well as KIPP Foundation stakeholders who serve as the business owners for many of these projects.  This is a full-time, exempt position based in San Francisco and will initially report to the Director of Technology.
