Job Description

Are you an expert Salesforce.com developer with a Java background
who has built multiple enterprise apps on the force.com platform and who loves
code -- good code, clean code, fast code, writing code, thinking code,
designing code, optimizing code? Did we mention we like code?

 

Description:

If you’re the kind of talent that can’t wait to solve real-world
enterprise operations issues by designing and building clean, high performing,
user-oriented, fast, efficient, extensible, scalable Salesforce and
Salesforce-integrated SOA applications following best practices and using the
latest technologies, this might be the position for you. The ideal candidate
will be a seasoned back-end database web developer with 5+ years of experience
in designing and developing Web-based applications that provide enterprise
solutions for everyday business use cases. He or she will be an individual
contributor in a hands-on coding role, responsible for prototyping and
implementing core business logic, web services, and database design for our
internal and public applications, contributing to the development of reusable
components and frameworks, and continuously staying up to date with the latest
trends and industry best practices. He or she will be equally passionate about
scalable and extensible software design, test driven development methods, clean
and well documented code, well-aligned and forward looking data
architecture,robust configuration management for builds and deployment, and the
power of service oriented architecture and “the cloud” to provide for unified
solutions in a diversified system landscape.  As an expert individual
contributor in our growing IT department, the ideal Salesforce Developer will
be responsible for developing libraries, services, packages, applications, and
APIs that are going to set our business apart from the pack for both our
internal corporate users and our customers.  He or she will be a
self-starter, customer-focused, detail-oriented, hands-on coder with excellent
communication skills (verbal and written), who is comfortable working on
cross-functional teams and able to handle multiple highly complex projects in a
fast-paced environment.

Salesforce Expert/Certified Developer, Force.com, Apex, SOQL,
SOSL, VisualForce, Salesforce.com Sites, ANT, Git, Java, J2EE, JSF, JSP, EJB,
POJO, JBOSS, Tomcat, XML, SOAP/RESTWeb Services, SOA, MVC (Struts, Spring,
etc), MySQL and Oracle DB, SQL(Transactions, Triggers, Stored Procedures,
Complex Joins, etc), DDL, DML, DCL,AJAX, DOM, JSON, RIA, Javascript, Frameworks
(jQuery, YUI, Dojo, ExtJS, PhoneGap,etc), PHP, LAMP, CSS, XHTML, HTML5,
OOP/OOD, Popular APIs (Google, Salesforce,Amazon, etc), Popular IDEs (Force.com
IDE , Eclipse, Netbeans, Dreamweaver,etc), Database Architecture, Cross-Browser
Development (IE 6,7,8,Firefox,Chrome, Safari), Performance Optimization,
Debugging, Unit Testing, IntegrationTesting, Load Testing, Browser Testing
Tools, CentOS/RHEL Command Line, ShellScripting, Site Optimization, ECM/DAM/CMS/CRM
experience, Ability to take a business requirements document, wireframes,
design prototypes, information architecture,data architecture, etc., and create
a  back-end,database driven, service-oriented, BPM web application that is
fully integrated with one or many web-based front-end UI applications and
interacts with other applications through publishing and consuming web
services.

 

Nice to Have:

Heroku (Java), Flex, Air, Flash, Silverlight, Mobile(iPhone, iPad,
Android, Blackberry), EC2, S3, AppEngine, GWT, Database.com,Hibernate, Seam,
Drools, jBPM/BPEL, Maven, ERP experience.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience developing native AppExchange Apps
  • Hands-on experience with the SalesForce platform
  • Salesforce Certification is a plus
  • Expert Apex coder (skilled at developing against 3rd party web services (using callouts), using triggers, batch Apex, scheduled Apex, session management)
  • Previous experience building, deploying and maintaining large AppExchange Apps
  • Advanced Salesforce user and administrator skills (including using permissions, queues, email handlers, mass email, security setup, views, page layouts)

Sr. Business Analyst

Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ

Requirements:

 Develops and prepares computer systems requirements and procedures to process data. Analyzes functional problems and determines techniques and requirements most feasible for processing the data. Prepares definition of functional problems and makes recommendations for equipment and/ or software to deliver solutions. Develops analytical reports or other products.

Gathers, analyzes, and documents business and systems requirements. Documents 'as is' processes and recommends streamlined approach. Analyzes functional problems and determines techniques and requirements most feasible for processing the data. Prepares definition of functional specifications, performs gap analysis when necessary and works with the team to deliver solutions.

-Experience in development of project documentation. Will create BRDs, Use Cases, Test Cases, Test Plans for system and UAT testing, and training materials as needed. Must have excellent writing skills and ability to prepare and produce quality documentation is required.

-Must have experience in gathering business requirements for integration points including downstream and upstream interface requirements.

-Ability to prepare formal presentations, written reports and general project specifications to present to management.

- Analyzes functional business requirements and recommends solutions to management.

-Conducts meetings and JAD Sessions with business users and other stakeholders, documents minutes, and maintains lists of action items. Leading productive meetings with business users, IT Teams, Senior Management, project teams (internal/external) is required.

-Understanding of business process management and working in line with the project plan, project scope and project objectives is required.

-Excellent communication skills are a must. Experience in creating training materials and conducting classroom training sessions is highly preferred.

-Ability to multi-task, adapt to a changing environment, work at a fast pace in line with aggressive timelines/deadlines, take initiative, be a team player and be a self-starter are all required.

- Understand and document business logic driving application functionality

-Experience as a Senior Business Analyst: 5-7 years

-Direct insurance industry experience or underwriting expertise is also highly preferred

 

This candidate would be supporting at least 4 production systems (underwriting, billing, policy delivery) as well as assisting me with Salesforce adoption, Salesforce reporting requirements, and additional training/documentation support for our new online underwriting system.  Excellent verbal communication skills cannot be emphasized enough as well as the ability to lead classroom training sessions.
