it's depend on your project requrement, and your org type, you can create up to :

 Personal Edition = N/A 
 Contact Manager = 5 max
 Group Edition = 50 max
 Enterprise Edition = 200 max
 Unlimited and Performance Edition = 2000 max
 Developer Edition = 400 max
