Can't update to Eclipse IDE v24
Getting MD5 hash problem regularly, even on repeated attempts to download. I am using Mac OS X, tried the same on both Eclipse Helios and Indigo.
An error occurred while collecting items to be installed session context was:(profile=epp.package.jee, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=). Problems downloading artifact: osgi.bundle,com.salesforce.ide.api,24.0.0.201202291629. MD5 hash is not as expected. Had the same problem today - in the end I went back to eclipse-jee-galileo-SR2-macosx-carbon.tar (cocoa 64bit) and re-installed the update - not ideal, but it got me up and running again. I'm half tempted to take the TextMate plunge: https://github.com/joshbirk/ForceDotBundle
Ok, so that means reinstall of both eclipse and force.com ide ?
I am also tempted to use TextMate, but being from windows background not too sure if should move in that direction.
I'm afraid I had to do a complete reinstall of both Eclipse and Force IDE plugin i.e. download from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/galileo/sr2 and then apply the normal ForceIDE site install http://www.adnsandbox.com/tools/ide/install/
FYI - I also tried http://www.adnsandbox.com/tools/ide/install/force.com-ide-installer-macosx.tgz (from the site http://wiki.developerforce.com/page/Force.com_IDE_Installation), but it wasn't working for me - I receieved the message "Unable to expand "force.com-ide-installer-macosx.tgz" - (Error 1 - Operation not permitted.)" - this also occured to a collegue of mine.

This continues to be an issue with upgrading Eclipse to the v24 plugin. I'm using Eclipse Indigo and don't want to downgrade to Galileo (that's 2 steps backward). Here's the error message I'm getting:
