I have created a managed package this package contains few validation rules that are not required this time in new version.

Is there a way to remove or depreciate this validation rule from the new version of managed Package.

Means is there any limit to create before /After  insert / Update trigger on Account.

Or is it harmful to write 2 or more before insert trigger on an object.

I have a custom object with a Contact lookup field. Is it possible to make this field required? It would need to be required through both the API and the Salesforce.com interface. Is this only possible with a trigger?
