We'd like to trigger a workflow action to do a field update on a "New Event" page. Usually you just hit save and triggers the workflow and updates the field. This is good but then you need to go searching for the event to reopen it and see the update.
Is it possible to create a button (or override the save button) so that it saves the event, triggers the workflow, performs the update and then reopens the event again with the update? Or is there a quick way to get back to the newly updated event? (It doesn't appear in recent items and simply pushing the back button on the browser just takes you to the event without the field update)
We're have some javascript behavior we want to add to the New Event page. Do we need to override and completely recreate the New Event page in Visualforce? Is there a way to pull up the existing page layout and functionality?
