Is it possible to read the Mail Merge template through Apex and populate with SF custom object data?

Code samples will be a great help.

Is it possible to use mail merge functionality (MS-Word)  using Apex.

I would like to keep the template in documents folder and then using Apex would like to fill the data and generate the document.

 

Code example would be quite helpful.

Why/how did Winter '09 break VF pages that are inlined into standard object detail pages?  All of a sudden, these inlined VF pages are displaying as shown below:



Clicking the "here" does in fact redirect the iframe to the correct URL, but what do we do to save the user from this extra click?
