I installed the Force IDE and everytinhg went wonderfully, but if I create a new Force.com project there is an error:
User-added image

The same happens if I go to Project Properties and try to download component metadata.
I am using Force Developer Edition.

Old discussions on here suggest that Force IDE may have procy errors (I don't use proxies) or that the IDE is finicky about the VDK version.
I'm so frustrated. Where do I go from here?

- oh and hello from me, just starting my first Salesforce job!

I am getting the following error from Eclipse (Kepler) when trying to login to our Production org which uses a custom url:
Unable to fetch organization details for  [myusername]

Element {urn:soap.sforce.com}returnFieldDataTypes invalid at this location

I have no problems accessing the Org via the dataloader using the same credentials.
