a) We currently use 'Lead Source' values as the criteria to send appropriate Emails to people who either Test Drive or Install our app from AppExchange. As you all know this setup is easily done using Lead Auto-Response Rules. Let call this email EmailAAA.

b) The LMA defaults the 'Lead Source' to the following
Test Drive to 'SFDC-dup-TD|YourAppName'
Get It Now to 'Package Installation'

c) We are about to release our second AppExchange, which requires a different Email for Test Drive or Install. Let's call this new email EmailBBB.

What other criteria can be used in Lead Auto-Response Rules to send EmailAAA for the first app and EmailBBB for the second app?

I appreciate your help!

1) We have a live app on AppExchange.
2) We fixed a minor issue and need to replace the package with the new version.
3) I clicked on "Replace Package" which is an option on any Live listing, assuming this is the best way to avoid rewriting the publishing material.
4) By doing so the AppExchange Support Request page is displayed with the following default values:
Request Type = Publishing
Sub Type = Update package
Replacement Package = None [there is no other option available for this dropdown, although I have even registered our new package to see if the value is added to the dropdown, but no change.]
Comments = I included the links to the new and old packages as requested.

By clicking on SUBMIT button the error message shows up as "Please make the following change before continuing: Replacement Package". This is the end, there is no other way to get the request send to the AppExchange team.

Any suggestion on what is "Replace Package" for, and how to correctly submit a request?

Regards

Periodically there have been informal consultant pricing surveys on this board.  I recall one not too long ago when one of our independent consultants declared that he charged 150 USD per hour and 125 for non-profits.  However recently there have been postings advertising development work for 20 USD per hour and also requests for developers willing to work for a maximum of 20 per hour.  Is this just a sign of bad economic times or the inevitable result of Gresham's law? Can a developer who charges 20 USD per hour accomplish worthwhile results?
Hi,

My company wants to track who knows who among all the contacts (no matter the account). ex: Mr X of ABC Inc. knows Mr Z of Acme Inc.  I need to know that.

Then how can I follow the chain (Mr X, Y and Z know each other, Mr A and X knpw Mr Z)?

Thanks,

Robert
Hello,

We are a language school and we manage all our clients and enrolments with Salesforce. We capture in Salesforce the start date of a student, the end date of the course, the centre where (s)he is studying and the level.

Today, we use a simple Excel spreadsheet to show the length of stay of a certain student. A color code indicated the type of course the student is taking so the x axis shows the weeks (starting every Monday) and the y axis lists the students.

We want to get rid of the spreadsheet and be able to show the same sort of graphic driven by the data in Salesforce. If you think this is possible, let me know, it would be a huge improvement on our data integrity and quality.

Kind regards

Steven Muller
